Description
Ardington Wick Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-17th century, with alterations and additions made in the 19th century. The building is roughcast, likely over timber framing, and features an old plain-tile roof. There is a brick ridge stack located to the left of the center and another ridge stack at the rear right. The farmhouse is two stories high and has a two-window range, with a cross-wing to the right. To the right of the center, there is an 8-panel door framed by wood fluted Doric pilasters and an open-pediment gabled hood supported by richly carved scroll brackets. All openings have wood cross-windows, except for a 3-light casement on the first floor of the cross-wing and a 2-light casement also on the first floor of the cross-wing. A wood cornice runs along the eaves, and the gable end of the cross-wing is tile-hung. The interior has not been inspected.
