Description
46 East St Helen Street is a building dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of grey brick with red dressing and features a rubble plinth. The building has a red brick eaves cornice and a tiled roof, which includes two hipped dormers with glazing bars. It stands two storeys tall with attics and has three windows: two are three-light and one is a single light, all featuring double hung sashes without glazing bars set in red brick rusticated architraves. There is a band between the storeys and two three-light windows on the ground floor. The entrance features a six-fielded door within a red brick rusticated architrave, topped by a fanlight, and includes a brass knocker and an inset foot scraper. At the rear, the windows have flat stucco arches with keystones. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 2 to 60 (even).
