Description

This is a building located on the south-east side of East St Helen Street, comprised of two properties, numbers 54 and 56. The core of the structure dates to the 17th century, although the front elevation was remodelled in the late 18th century. It is constructed of chequered brick with a tile roof. The building is two storeys high with attics, and features two dormers. The upper floor has two windows with segmental arches, flush frames, and double-hung sashes containing glazing bars. The ground floor has two windows which are presently boarded up. There are two plain wooden doors, each set within a rectangular architrave and topped with a segmental arched fanlight. The building was derelict at the time of survey. Numbers 2 to 60 (even) form a group.
