Description
The Baytree is a house that has been converted into a restaurant, likely built in the early 18th century, with some alterations to the windows made in the 20th century. The exterior features lined render, probably over brick, and has an old plain-tile roof, although the chimneystacks are not visible. The building is two storeys tall with an attic and has a two-window range. There is a 20th-century sash door located to the right of the centre, and a round-headed archway for a passageway to the left. To the left of the centre and to the right, there are 20th-century bow windows with glazing bars. On the first floor, there are two 3-light wooden casements from the 20th century. A gabled full dormer to the left of the centre features a 2-light casement with leaded lights. Inside, the ground floor includes joists and stop-chamfered spine beams.
