Description

Church Cottage is an early 18th-century house with a mid-18th-century front, located on the north side of The Street in Sotwell. The house is rendered, likely on limestone rubble, incorporating painted brick quoins, and has a plain-tile roof. It has rendered brick end stacks, one to the left and one to the right. The front facade is two storeys high and features a three-window arrangement. A central entrance has a C18 part-glazed door. There are two-light wooden casements with hood moulds to the left and right of the entrance, and a two-light casement to the centre of the first floor. Horizontal sashes are present to the left and right of the ground floor. The rear of the building exhibits large timber framing with painted brick infill. The interior was not inspected.
