Description

This stable block and coach house, built around 1850, is located approximately 110 meters northeast of Hydraulics Research Limited in Crowmarsh Gifford. The structure is made of red brick with stone dressings and features a plain tile complex roof with brick stacks. It has an L-shaped plan and stands two stories high, with a five-window range and double plank doors. The fenestration is irregular, and there is an octagonal tower at the rear topped with a pyramidal roof. The stable block occupies a prominent position at the end of the drive to the house and is part of a group of ancillary buildings, which adds to its significance.
