Description

The Dower House is an early 18th-century house located on the east side of Village Street in Pishill with Stonor. It is constructed of colourwashed brick with a hipped roof covered in old tiles, and features brick end stacks. The original plan comprises two units. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window front. A gabled porch with a 20th-century door is at the front. The windows are late 19th-century casements, set within segmental arches on the ground floor and flat arches on the first floor. There are raking roof dormers in the attic. Early 18th-century gabled ranges extend to the rear right. A mid-19th century wing is located to the rear left, and is two storeys high and has a two-window range, rendered finish, gabled Welsh slate roof and brick end stacks with sash windows. The interior and rear of the property were not inspected.
