Description
Keepers Cottage is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century, built for the Stonor Estate. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick with flared headers and features an old tile roof along with brick stacks. The cottage has a two-unit outshut plan, is two storeys high, and has a three-window range. There are cambered brick arches over a 20th-century door, late 19th-century two-light casements, and a horizontal sliding sash window above the door. The eaves are dentilled, and the roof is gabled with external stacks at the gable ends. To the right, there is a similar block that is a one-storey, one-bay range with a segmental arch over a two-light casement. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest. The cottage was originally built as a dwelling for the gamekeeper.
