Description

The Old Almshouse is a building that dates back to around 1812 and was constructed for the Stonor Estate. It features a U-shaped plan and is made of Flemish bond red brick with flared brick crossbanding, topped with a Welsh slate roof and brick stacks. The structure is two storeys high and has a six-window range. There are flat brick arches above two 20th-century doors, and the windows are 19th or 20th-century two-light casements. The building has dentilled eaves and a hipped roof with ridge stacks. At the rear, there is a 20th-century outshut.
