Description

Oak Cottage is a house, likely dating from the mid-17th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond, featuring random flared headers. The first floor on the left side has timber framing with brick infill. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and there are brick stacks, one at the left end and another in the centre to the right.

The house is two storeys high and has a three-window front. A plank door is located on the right side, set within a segmental brick arch. All windows are three-light casements with leaded lights, except for a single-light leaded casement on the first floor to the right, which also has a segmental brick head. The roof has a queen-post truss visible on the left return. The interior has not been inspected.
