Description
The Red Lion Public House is a public house dating from the late 17th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of red brick featuring random flared headers in Flemish bond. The building has a 20th-century plain-tile roof that is hipped to the left, with a brick stack at the right end, a ridge stack on the left, and another stack to the right of center.
The structure is two stories tall and has a four-window range. There is a sash door located to the left of center. The ground floor has 20th-century metal three-light casements, except for a 19th-century two-light casement on the left. A flat brick band runs between the ground and first floors, except on the left side. The first floor features 19th-century three-light casements, with a blind panel to the left. Inside, the ground floor has chamfered beams and an open fireplace located on the right side.
