Description

Thameside House and the attached barn are located on Lower Road in Chinnor. The house, which is now used as offices, dates from the late 17th century on the right side and serves as a subsidiary wing to an early 19th-century house on the left. There is also an 18th-century cross-wing at the rear. The building is roughcast, likely over brick, with an old plain-tile roof on the right and a slate roof on the left.

The left side features a two-storey, two-window range, while the right side has a single-storey and attic with a two-window range. There is a six-panel door to the right of the early 19th-century house, complete with an overlight and a wrought-iron porch from the 19th century. The first floor has tripartite unhorned sash windows, and the ground floor of the late 17th-century section has two late 20th-century casements with leaded lights. A raking dormer on the roof has a three-light casement with leaded lights.

On the right return, there is large timber framing with brick infill. The interior has not been inspected. The early 18th-century cross-wing at the rear is made of red brick with flared headers in Flemish bond and has an old plain-tile roof, featuring a two-storey, two-window range. There is also a low barn attached to the end of the subsidiary cross-wing.
