Description
Nos. 19 and 19A on High Street is a house that has been converted into two dwellings. It likely dates from the mid-17th century, with a front made of 18th-century brick. The building is constructed of red brick featuring flared headers, and it has an old plain-tile roof that is hipped to the right, along with a cross-gable to the right side. There are brick stacks at the rear.
The left side has a plank door with a segmental brick head, while there is another plank door to the left of the cross-wing on the right, also with a segmental brick head and a gabled hood. All openings have 3-light wood casements, with those on the ground floor featuring segmental brick heads. A flat brick band runs between the ground and first floors. On the left return, there is timber framing with a Queen-post roof truss visible at the gable end. The interiors have not been inspected.
