Description

Two houses stand on Church Close in East Hagbourne, dating back to the 17th century with an 18th-century extension to the left and subsequent refronting. They are constructed of red brick with grey brick headers in a Flemish bond pattern, topped with an old plain-tile roof. Brick ridge stacks are centrally located, while a lateral stack is at the end of the left side. The houses are single-story with an attic, presenting a four-window front. Plank doors, each with a segmental brick header, are positioned to the left and right of center. The ground floor features 3-light mullion windows, also with segmental brick heads. Four 20th-century half-dormers, each with a flat roof, are visible. The rear left side displays timber framing. Interior details of No. 6 include extensive beaming.
