Description

This barn dates to 1786, as indicated by a datestone. It is constructed of limestone rubble with squared quoins, and incorporates weatherboarded timber framing; the roof is covered in corrugated asbestos. The barn follows a five-bay plan. Both the front and rear elevations are weatherboarded above a rubble plinth and feature a full-height central door. The gable walls are stone, with a pitching door in the left gable. The right gable wall includes a quoin inscribed "E.1786". Inside, the barn has a clasped-purlin roof with short curved under-principals and curved braces from the wall posts; original rafters and ridge board remain.
