Description
Clementine Cottage is an early 16th-century house located on the east side of High Street, Dorchester. The building is constructed with rendered timber framing and has an old plain-tile roof with brick stacks. It follows a three-unit plan and comprises a single storey with attics. The front elevation features a four-panel door positioned to the left of centre. To the left of the door is a small-pane horizontal-sliding sash window, followed by a three-light leaded casement window, and a two-light leaded casement window to the right. There are three-light gabled dormers above the roofline, one to the left of centre and two to the right. Stacks are visible on the roof, one to the right of centre and another at the left end. The right gable wall is offset. The interior was noted to have an inscription of "1527" on a fireplace.
