Description
These are a pair of cottages on the High Street in Dorchester. They were likely built in the early to mid-18th century, although parts may be even older. The walls are rendered over a stepped brick plinth, and there may be some timber-framing visible. The roof is covered with old plain tiles, and there is a brick stack above the party wall. Each cottage has a single-room plan with a rear outshut. The front of the cottages has entrances on the extreme left and right, with a three-light casement window and a two-light casement window above each entrance, all with segmental arches. The interior has not been inspected. The cottages are of group value.
