Description
This is a late 18th-century house and shop on the east side of High Street, Dorchester. It is constructed of colourwashed brick with an old plain-tile roof and a brick ridge stack. The building has a three-unit plan and two storeys. The front has a brick dentil eaves course. The right bay contains a 19th-century shop front below a 12-pane sash window. To the left of the shop, a central doorway is topped by a flat canopy supported on shaped brackets. Flanking the door are segmental-arched 16-pane sash windows, and two similar sashes are located at first floor, breaking through the eaves. A county fire insurance plaque is positioned below the eaves. A stack is located to the left of the shop. The interior has not been inspected.
