Description

Watling Lane Cottage is a 17th century house located on Dorchester High Street. It features a timber frame with rendered and colorwashed brick infill, topped by a thatched roof with brick stacks. The cottage has a three-unit plan and stands two stories tall. The front has three windows that are irregularly spaced and fitted with 20th century casements. The entrance is located in the left gable wall, with stacks positioned to the left of center and on the right gable walls. The left gable displays an Imperial fire insurance plaque. The interior has not been inspected.
