Description
Green Cottage is a small house that was rebuilt in the 19th century, although it incorporates elements from an earlier structure. It is constructed of limestone rubble with brick dressings and has a Welsh-slate roof featuring a brick ridge stack. The house has a two-unit gable-fronted plan and stands two storeys high with attics. The entrance includes a two-light casement window on the left and a three-light leaded casement window on the right, along with additional leaded casements on the first floor and in the gable. The quoins at the ground floor date back to the 18th century. The return wall on the right side has two first-floor casement windows but is mostly hidden by a 20th-century extension. The chimney stacks serve a large old chimney that is shared with the adjoining property, The Limes. The interior has not been inspected. Green Cottage may have originally been the remodelled service wing of The Limes and is included in the listing for its group value.
