Description
Bees Cottage is a 17th-century cottage with a 20th-century extension to the left and rear. The ground floor is made of painted brick in the center, while the first floor features irregular timber framing with rendered infill. To the right, there is a rendered rubble stone wall, and to the left, painted 20th-century brick. The roof is plain tile with brick stacks. Originally, the cottage had a two-unit plan and consists of one storey and an attic, with a three-window range. There is a 20th-century door to the right of center and another 20th-century door to the left under a lean-to roof. The ground floor has three casements, and the original cottage has two gabled half dormers, with a casement in the first floor of the extension. There are brick stacks at both ends of the original cottage, with a bread oven at the base of the left stack. The interior has not been inspected.
