Description

This is a late 17th-century house situated on the south side of Chalgrove High Street. It is constructed with light timber framing and has a gabled thatch roof, with a brick end stack. The house follows a two-unit outshut plan and is two storeys high, arranged as a symmetrical two-window range. The house now has 20th-century doors and casement windows. Inside, there are chamfered spine beams with run-out stops. There’s an open fireplace with a late 17th-century cupboard to the right, flanked by a quarter-turn staircase and a blocked wood-mullioned window with an internal shutter.
