Description
Clarence House, located at No. 11 on New Street, is an early 18th-century building featuring a facade of silver grey and red brick, with rubbed red brick window dressings. Above the stable entrance on the west side, there is a stucco finish. The building has an old tiled roof and stands two storeys tall, with four windows and a western bay that includes a former stable entrance. The ground floor windows are sashes with glazing bars, while the upper windows have late 19th-century glazing. The entrance door is plain, framed by a moulded architrave and topped with a bracketed hood. Clarence House is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 33 (odd) and Nos 2 to 76 (even) opposite, along with the walls associated with Nos 32 to 38 (even) and No 40.
