Description
Timbertop, located at No 60 Bell Street, is an early 19th-century building constructed of red brick. It features flat, bracketed eaves and a slate roof, with a rounded corner facing New Street. The building was originally designed as a shop and stands three storeys tall with three windows on the upper floors, which are sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor includes a large round-headed central door with a radial fanlight, flanked by large round-headed shop windows that retain their glazing bars up to the arched heads. Timbertop is part of a group of buildings that includes Nos 44 to 52 (even) and Nos 60 to 64 (even), along with Nos 45, 45A, and 47, and Nos 53 to 81 (odd) opposite, as well as No 2 New Street.
