Description
15 and 17 New Street is an early 19th-century building with a symmetrical facade that is stuccoed. The design features a parapet that rises into a gable over the center. The building has a slate roof and consists of two storeys and an attic, with a width of four bays. The outer windows are set within two-storey, arched recesses, while the central pair of doors is located within a further arched recess that is one storey high. The ground floor jambs of the arches are rusticated. There is a small angular bay window on the ground floor and one central attic window. The two doors have three-pane rectangular fanlights and three-panel doors. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 33 (odd) and Nos 2 to 76 (even) opposite, along with the walls associated with Nos 32 to 38 (even) and No 40.
