Description
Kenton Theatre, located at 19 and 21 New Street, features an early 19th-century facade made of red brick with a parapet and an old tiled roof. The building stands three storeys high and has four sash windows with glazing bars. The western ground floor is adorned with a theatre canopy, while the eastern side includes two sash windows and two doors: one is round-headed with a fanlight and a six-panelled door, and the other is round-arched over garage doors. Inside, the theatre boasts a curved gallery and a proscenium arch flanked by Corinthian pillars, topped with a broken pediment. The theatre is part of a group with the surrounding buildings on New Street, contributing to the area's historical significance.
