Description

Barnby Cottages, located on New Street, are a range of timber-framed cottages dating back to 1582, with a historical note indicating they were divided into five cottages in 1788 and later restored by the Henley and District Housing Trust in 1938. The facades of Nos 8 and 10 are made of colourwashed brick, while Nos 12, 14, and 16 feature a combination of colourwashed brick and timber framing covered with colourwashed roughcast. The cottages have an old tiled roof and are two stories high, each with one window. The first-floor windows are either two or three-light casements, and the ground floor features three-light casements. The doors are ledged. At the rear, there is a series of gables that are timber-framed with brick infilling.
