Description

This is a late 17th-century house, originally built as kennels attached to Christ Church College, Oxford. The building is constructed of limestone ashlar, banded with coursed rubble, and has a plain-tile roof with brick stacks. It is arranged as a three-unit design with a baffle entry, and stands two storeys high plus attics. The front features a studded oak door with a single leaded-light window above, flanked by three-light casement windows. The window openings have a roll moulding to their sides and head. The exterior has a plinth and stone eaves-cove, with gable parapets featuring scroll kneelers and ball finials that are similar to those found at the Manor. A ball finial also sits on the apex of the right gable. The building includes a clustered brick ridge stack and a gable stack to the left. The interior remains uninspected. The roof has two hipped dormers.
