Description
This is a house dating from the early 18th century, with possible earlier elements. It is constructed of limestone rubble with ashlar dressings, and features timber framing with brick infill. The roof is made of old plain tiles and has brick stacks. The building is L-shaped with an end outshut and has two storeys.
The front has four windows made of rubble, with a plinth and stone flat arches. The entrance is located to the left, alongside four 3-light casements on the ground floor. There is a second doorway to the right, which has likely been converted from what was originally a fifth window. On the first floor, there are four similar casements. The wall continues to the extreme right, where it contains a matching single-light casement that serves the outshut. The roof is hipped and extends over the outshut, with a return to the rear wing.
A ridge stack is positioned to the left of centre, almost in line with the entrance, and there are additional stacks on the ridge of the rear wing and attached to the left end wall. The rear of the main range and the wing still show some timber framing. The interior has not been inspected.
