Description
The stable block, located approximately 10 meters south of The Harcourt Arms Inn, is a mid-19th century structure originally serving as stables and cattle shelters, now functioning as outbuildings. It is built of brick in Flemish bond and features an old plain-tile roof. The building has an L-shaped layout and is single-storey.
The rear of the open shelter facing the road includes a row of four blind recesses with rubbed-brick segmental arches. The end of the higher stable range, which returns to the right, slightly protrudes and has a similar recess. The hipped roof adds to its architectural character. The right return wall features two stable doors and two windows, all with flat arches, as well as a segmental-arched doorway. The gabled furthest bay includes a loft door. In front of the shelter range, there are circular brick piers in the yard. The interiors have not been inspected. This building is included for its group value with the nearby inn.
