Description
No. 19 Gorwell is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with a later 18th-century bay added to the left. It is constructed of flint rubble with brick quoins and dressings, topped with a gabled roof made of 20th-century and old tiles, and features brick stacks at the ends. The house has been extended from a 3-unit plan to a 4-window range over two storeys. The original three-window range includes a bracketed flat hood above a mid to late 19th-century four-panelled door, with a cambered arch to the right and rendered imitation brick flat arches above mid to late 19th-century two-light casements and first-floor horizontal sliding sashes. A chequer brick storey band runs along the building. The late 18th-century bay on the left has two mid to late 19th-century horned sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
