Description

The Granary, now a shop, dates from around 1800. It is a rare surviving example of a high street granary. The building has weatherboarding over a timber frame, which rests on staddles. It features a gabled roof covered in old and 20th-century tiles. The visible openings are a 20th-century door and windows. Inside, the structure reveals pegged oak framing, softwood joists, lapped elm floorboards, and oak grain bins. The building is included on the list for its group value.
