Description
The Barley Mow is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. The front elevation is rendered, while the right side reveals timber framing with brick infill. The roof is gabled and covered with old tiles, with an early 19th-century brick stack on the left end. The building originally comprised a single unit. It is two stories high with a single window on each floor. A 20th-century door is present. The ground floor windows are horizontal sliding sashes with shutters, and a 20th-century window is on the first floor. A two-story wing, constructed of colourwashed brick and featuring a gabled old tile roof with dentilled eaves, was added to the rear right. The interior was not inspected but is likely to contain features of interest.
