Description
Portobello Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the early to mid-18th century, with later 18th-century bays added on either side. The structure is made of flint rubble, featuring brick quoins and dressings, while the right bay is constructed of header bond brick. It has a gabled roof covered with 20th-century tiles, and there are brick stacks at the ends and a rendered ridge stack. The farmhouse has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with a six-window range. A segmental brick arch is present above a 19th-century six-panelled door, which is sheltered by a gabled 20th-century porch. There are segmental brick arches over late 19th-century two-light casements and blocked windows to the right of the door, with similar casements on the first floor located under the wall plate. The interior and rear of the building have not been inspected.
