Description

This is a 17th-century house, later used as a shop and offices. It was listed in 1970. The exterior is rendered, likely over brick, and includes a false timber-frame finish added in the 20th century. The roof is covered with old plain tiles, with 20th-century plain tile edging, and features a brick stack at the rear right. The building has two storeys and a two-window front. A plank door is located to the right of the centre, alongside an eight-pane horned sash window. A 20th-century plate-glass shop window occupies the left side of the front. The first floor has two-pane, unhorned sashes. A 20th-century shop addition is visible on the left return, at ground floor level, and the first floor displays close-studded timber framing with rendered infill. The gable end demonstrates a queen strut roof truss. The ground floor interior has been converted to a shop in the 20th century.
