Description
Church Farmhouse and the attached barn are a farmhouse and barn dating from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. The building is rendered, likely over timber framing, and features an old plain tile roof with brick stacks. It has a baffle-entry plan and is a single storey with an attic, comprising a four-window range. The central entrance has a six-panel double door and is sheltered by a 20th-century gabled tiled porch. To the left of the entrance is a plank door, while the windows show irregular placement: there is a three-light casement to the right, a 19th-century three-light mullion and transom window to the right of centre, and a 20th-century three-light casement to the left of centre. Additionally, there is a 20th-century metal three-light casement to the far left. The roof is half-hipped and features four gabled dormers. A central 17th-century brick stack is present, along with an end stack to the right. At the rear, there is an outshut to the left, and a gabled central projection that has timber framing with brick infill on the first floor, along with timber framing to the first floor on the right. The attached barn to the left is from the 18th century, with 19th-century additions. It is timber-framed with weatherboarding and has a roof made of plain tiles and corrugated iron. The barn consists of three bays and features a hipped midstrey at the centre, with 19th-century infill to the doorway and lean-to extensions on both sides. The barn also has a queen post roof.
