Description
Oxford Lodge is a gate lodge built in the mid to late 19th century, located approximately 400 meters northwest of Shotover Park. The building is constructed of limestone ashlar with a Welsh-slate roof and features one storey plus an attic. The gable front has a triangular open pediment adorned with modillions and quoin strips. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door framed by a plain stone architrave and topped with a cornice supported by large consoles. Above the door is an arched window in the gable. The two-bay sides are accentuated with flanking and central quoin strips and a modillion cornice. The sash windows on the sides are fitted with moulded architraves and cornices. The rear of the lodge has a similar pediment and a single-storey 20th-century extension. The interior has not been inspected. The lodge is included for its group value.
