Description
21 The Croft is a house dating from the mid-17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It features large timber framing, which is covered with 20th-century materials, and has brick infill arranged in a herringbone pattern. The roof is made of plain tiles and has a half-hipped design, with a brick ridge stack rebuilt in the 20th century at the center. The house has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high, with a two-window range. To the left, there is a plank door topped by a 19th-century gabled hood. The center has two 2-light casement windows, while the right side features a 20th-century window. On the first floor, there are two more 2-light casements. The left return of the first floor jetties out and is supported by an ovolo moulded bressumer. Inside, the ground floor showcases chamfered spine beams with decorative end stops.
