Description
30 Holywell Street is a house that dates back to the 17th century but was refashioned in the 18th century. It has two stories and features a plastered timber-framed front, with cellars and two large gabled dormers. Behind these dormers, there is another central gable that can be seen from the Welsh slate roof. The building includes brick stacks. On the east side, there is a coachway or "broad gate."
The ground floor has a three-light casement window in a wood frame with shutters, and the doorway has a modern, plain frame. The first floor features one slightly projecting three-light 18th-century sash window with a flower-box rail. Each dormer contains a sash window in a wood frame. Inside, there is an 18th-century fireplace.
All the listed buildings on the north side of Holywell Street form a group.
