Description
27 Holywell Street is a house that appears to have been built in the 17th to 18th century. It is three stories high and has a stucco exterior, possibly over a timber frame on a rubble base. The building features a moulded eaves cornice, a small parapet, and modern red brick chimney stacks. On the west side, there are three splayed bay windows with 19th-century sash windows set in moulded wood frames with architraves. On the east side, the first floor has single sash windows above the front doorway, and the second floor features a double sash window, both also in moulded wood frames with glazing bars. This house is part of a group of listed buildings on the north side of Holywell Street.
