Description
61 and 62 Holywell Street are two houses that form one building, dating from the 17th to 18th century. This three-storey structure has a stone front and includes cellars. It features a moulded and coved eaves cornice and a modern brown tiled roof, which has two modern gabled attic dormers with four-light casement windows. The ground floor is finished in stucco, while the upper floors are plastered with moulded strings. There are two doorways with plain stone frames and flat wooden hoods supported by moulded scroll brackets. The sash windows, set in plain wood frames, have glazing bars, with the two western windows on the first floor featuring keystones. The east side of the building is roughcast. Inside, No 62 has an original fireplace. All the listed buildings on the south side of Holywell Street form a group.
