Description
Cedars is a house located on the west side of The Green in Adderbury, likely built in the early 18th century and altered in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed squared marlstone with some ashlar dressings and features a Welsh-slate roof with brick gable stacks. It has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys plus an attic. The front facade has a regular arrangement of two windows, which contain 12-pane sash windows set beneath ashlar flat arches with rusticated keyblocks. There is a central six-panel door that is sheltered by a flat panelled canopy supported by reeded brackets. The left gable features a three-light leaded casement window, and the steep-pitched roof is adorned with gable parapets. The rear wing includes additional casement windows. The interior has not been inspected.
