Description

Ivy House is a late 18th or early 19th century house located on the east side of The Green in Adderbury. The house is constructed of coursed squared marlstone with wooden lintels, and has a concrete roof covered in plain tiles. It likely has a central-stair plan. The symmetrical three-window front features tall 12-pane sash windows on the first floor. The ground floor has a central six-panel door, sheltered by a 19th-century canopy, flanked by canted bay windows with segmental-headed sashes. The steep-pitched roof is topped by a stone-based stack on the right and a brick stack on the left. The interior remains uninspected. The building is included on the list for its group value.
