Description

Top Thatch is an early 18th-century house situated on the north side of the B4031 near Hempton. The construction is of coursed squared marlstone with wooden lintels, and it has a thatched roof with a brick end stack. The building has a simple 2-unit plan. The symmetrical 2-window front features 2-light casement windows at the first floor, and 3-light casement windows on the ground floor; all windows have been renewed. A central doorway is positioned on the front elevation. The interior has not been inspected.
