Description
Harwood House is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It was originally built in the 17th century and remodeled in the 20th century. The building is constructed from coursed ironstone rubble with ironstone quoins, featuring alternate bands of ironstone and limestone on the right gable end. The roof is made of Welsh slate and there are three brick stacks located at the ends and on the ridge.
The house has a three-unit plan and is two storeys high. On the ground floor, there are three 20th-century casement windows with stop-chamfered lintels. The entrance is off-centre and features a 20th-century door with a hood-mould that has label stops, which may have been re-set. The first floor has four 20th-century casements, one of which has a hood mould and label stops, while the others have stop-chamfered lintels. At the rear of the house, there is a three-light stone mullioned window. The interior has been updated in the 20th century.
