Description
Scotland Mount House and Scotland Mount Cottage are a house dating to the 17th century with additions from the 18th century. The construction is of coursed ironstone rubble with a stone slate roof, and includes one ridge stack and one end stack. The building has an L-shaped layout. The original 17th-century section is located on the left and comprises two units. It has two storeys. The entrance, on the right side of the centre, features a plank door under a rectangular overlight with a geometric design, and is sheltered by a rustic porch. There are two 3-light stone mullioned windows with hood moulds and label stops on the ground floor to the left of the porch, and a similar window on the first floor. The 18th-century section to the right has two units and casement windows. Two dormers are present. An extension on the right also features a 2-light first-floor casement with crown glass. The interior has not been inspected.
