Description
The stable block at Hook Norton Brewery, dated 1894, is constructed from coursed regular ironstone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof. It has an L-plan layout and is a single storey plus attic. The main elevation includes five stable doorways with rectangular overlights and plank doors. Ground floor windows are wood mullioned and transomed, adorned with arched blue and red brick voussoirs, which are also found above the doors. On the first floor, there is a range of six wooden sash windows, center hung, with wooden lintels. The building has two gable front dormers that contain loft doors below. A 20th-century garage extension on the left wing partially obscures details similar to those on the main elevation. The interior has not been inspected. This stable block is included for its group value within the context of Hook Norton Brewery.
