Description
The Dashwood Arms Public House is an early 18th-century establishment constructed from coursed squared limestone, featuring some wooden lintels. The roofs are made of artificial stone-slate and thatch, with brick and rendered gable stacks. The building has a T-plan layout with subsidiary wings and stands two storeys tall, plus attics, with a mix of two-storey and one-storey sections.
The main range has a five-window front, which includes a central doorway and renewed cross windows on both floors, all adorned with stone flat arches. To the right of the entrance, there is a four-light casement window with a wooden lintel. The roof features two small gabled dormers and overhanging eaves. A two-storey bay to the right also contains casement windows. To the left, there is a lower thatched wing that is longer and has a steeper roof, featuring two large casement windows. The interior has not been inspected.
