Description
The Old Bakehouse is a small house dating from the early 18th century, with a 20th-century extension. It is constructed from limestone rubble and features wooden lintels. The roofs are covered with Stonesfield slate and artificial stone slate, and there are brick gable stacks. The building has a two-unit plan with subsidiary wings and consists of two storeys and one storey. The main front has three windows, with the entrance located to the right, combined with a three-light casement window, and a two-light casement window to the left. The first-floor windows consist of two, two, and three lights. The roof is adorned with gable parapets and projecting moulded kneelers. The lower range to the right has two casement windows, while the rear wing is from the 20th century. The interior has not been inspected.
