Description
A pair of cottages dating from the mid-18th century, located on Bletchingdon Road in Kirtlington. The cottages are constructed of limestone rubble with wooden lintels and have a Stonesfield-slate roof, topped with brick stacks. Each cottage has a single-unit plan. They are two storeys in height with attic space. The front of each cottage features a casement window at both ground and first floors, with most windows being of 3-lights; the first-floor windows in No. 1 have been replaced. No. 2, on the left, has an entrance with a slated canopy extending over a rounded bread-oven projection. The entrance to No. 1 is located in the right gable wall. The roof features stacks flanking each bay and a gabled roof dormer to the left. The interiors have not been inspected. A further adjoining building, No. 3, is not included in the listing.
